What is CVE-2019-25627?

FlexHEX 2.71 has a local buffer overflow vulnerability in the Stream Name field, allowing local attackers to exploit it by triggering a structured exception handler (SEH) overflow. By crafting a specially formatted text file that includes aligned shellcode and SEH chain pointers, attackers can execute arbitrary commands, such as launching calc.exe. This vulnerability poses a risk as it enables potential unauthorized access to the system's environment.
