What is CVE-2019-25661?

Remote Process Explorer 1.0.0.16 is susceptible to a local buffer overflow vulnerability that could be exploited by attackers to induce a denial of service. By crafting a malicious payload and inserting it into the computer name textbox within the Add Computer dialog, attackers can corrupt the SEH (Structured Exception Handler) chain, resulting in application crashes when an attempt is made to connect to the designated computer. This vulnerability poses an operational risk, as it allows unauthorized users to disrupt service functionality.
