What is CVE-2019-25677?
WinRAR 5.61 is susceptible to a denial of service vulnerability that can be exploited by local attackers. By inserting a malformed 'winrar.lng' language file into the application’s installation directory, an attacker can induce a crash. The vulnerability manifests when the application attempts to read invalid data while processing an archive. This leads to an access violation at memory address 004F1DB8, crashing the WinRAR application when the test button is activated.
