XML External Entity Injection Vulnerability in Dell EMC Avamar and IDPA

What is CVE-2019-3752?

The Dell EMC Avamar Server and Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA) are vulnerable to an XML External Entity (XXE) Injection attack. A remote, unauthenticated adversary could exploit this vulnerability by submitting specially crafted document type definitions (DTDs) in an XML request. Such an attack could lead to Denial of Service or potentially expose sensitive information within the system. Users are advised to promptly apply any available updates or mitigations to safeguard their systems against this risk.
