What is CVE-2019-3902?

A flaw in Mercurial prior to version 4.9 allows attackers to leverage symlinks and subrepositories to circumvent Mercurial's path-checking mechanisms. This vulnerability can potentially enable unauthorized writing of files outside of the intended repository, presenting a significant risk to the integrity of the software and data management processes.
