Encryption Flaw in Crestron AM-100 and AM-101 Devices
CVE-2019-3938
7.8HIGH
What is CVE-2019-3938?
The Crestron AM-100 and AM-101 devices exhibit a security flaw that allows sensitive data, including usernames and passwords, to be exposed. The devices utilize an 'export configuration' feature that generates a configuration file. This file is encrypted using a hardcoded binary, which allows local attackers to reverse the encryption easily. Consequently, an attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive device configurations, posing a significant security risk.
