What is CVE-2019-3980?
The Solarwinds Dameware Mini Remote Client agent v12.1.0.89 features smart card authentication that can be exploited by an unauthenticated remote attacker. This vulnerability allows the attacker to initiate a smart card login request, enabling them to upload and execute arbitrary executables under the Local System account on the DWRCS.exe host. This poses a significant security risk, as it could lead to unauthorized access and execution of malicious code.
