Summary

A vulnerability in the session handling functionality of the NETGEAR N300 (WNR2000v5) HTTP server can lead to denial of service. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted HTTP request with an empty User-Agent string to an authentication-required page, causing a null pointer dereference that crashes the HTTP service. As a result, unauthorized users can disrupt the service, impacting device availability.
