Denial-of-Service Vulnerability in Hostapd by FreeRADIUS
CVE-2019-5062
7.4HIGH
What is CVE-2019-5062?
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the security state handling of 802.11w for hostapd 2.6 connected clients. By instigating an incomplete new association with valid 802.11w sessions, an attacker can manipulate the sessions to induce deauthentication. This disruption can lead to a significant denial of service for affected stations, posing a serious risk for networks relying on 802.11w for secure communications.
Affected Version(s)
W1.f1 hostapd version 2.6 on a Raspberry Pi.
