Command Injection Vulnerability in WAGO PFC 200 Firmware
CVE-2019-5172
What is CVE-2019-5172?
A command injection vulnerability exists in the iocheckd service of the WAGO PFC 200 Firmware version 03.02.02(14). An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted packets to manipulate the parsing process of a cache file. This results in the ntp value from an XML file being used as an argument in a command that is executed without proper validation. The flawed implementation allows attackers to loop through unlimited ntp entries, leading to potential unauthorized command execution on the affected device.
