What is CVE-2019-7690?
In MobaTek's MobaXterm Personal Edition version 11.1 Build 3860, an identified vulnerability allows for the retrieval of SSH private keys and their associated passwords from the process memory. This occurs for the entire duration of the process, even after a user has disconnected from a remote SSH server. As a result, instances of Passwordless Authentication utilizing a password-protected SSH private key risk unauthorized access to sensitive data. This exposure poses significant security challenges for users relying on MobaXterm for secure communications.
