What is CVE-2019-9649?

A vulnerability in the SFTP Server component of Core FTP allows remote attackers to exploit directory traversal techniques through the MDTM FTP command. By utilizing the '../..' sequence, an attacker can navigate outside the designated root directory, enabling them to ascertain the presence of files on the operating system and their last modified timestamps. This exposure could lead to further attacks or data leaks if not mitigated.
