What is CVE-2020-0831?
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the ChakraCore scripting engine due to improper handling of objects in memory. This vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system if a user views a specially crafted web page using a vulnerable version of the affected products. Successful exploitation may result in an attacker gaining the same user rights as the logged-in user, which could lead to further system compromise.
