What is CVE-2020-10173?

The Comtrend VR-3033 series devices show susceptibility to multiple authenticated command injection vulnerabilities. Attackers can exploit these vulnerabilities through the device's diagnostic pages, specifically utilizing shell metacharacters in the pingIpAddress parameter of the ping.cgi interface. This could potentially allow unauthorized execution of commands, compromising the security of the device and its connected network.
