What is CVE-2020-10551?

A security issue exists in QQBrowser versions prior to 10.5.3870.400, where the Windows service TsService.exe is installed in a manner that can be exploited by local attackers. The file is writable by all users within the NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users group, which encompasses both local and remote users. This accessibility allows malicious actors to create a harmful executable at the TsService location, potentially enabling them to escalate their privileges to the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM level.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
