Summary

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the VBScript engine when it improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who exploits this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in the context of the current user. To take advantage of this vulnerability, an attacker may craft a malicious web page that is viewed by the user. If the user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system. This could facilitate the creation of new accounts with full user rights. Therefore, users are recommended to apply security updates released by Microsoft to mitigate the risks associated with this vulnerability.
