What is CVE-2020-11498?

Slack Nebula, up to version 1.1.0, is susceptible to a relative path vulnerability that allows low-privileged attackers to execute code as the root user via manipulating files such as tun_darwin.go or tun_windows.go. This vulnerability also enables potential persistence mechanisms when code is executed within the user's context. While exploiting this vulnerability necessitates elevated access and other difficult-to-meet conditions, it poses notable security risks that could lead to unauthorized access and control over affected systems.
