What is CVE-2020-11827?

In GOG Galaxy version 1.2.67, the GalaxyClientService.exe has a security flaw linked to weak file and service permissions. This vulnerability allows an attacker to introduce malicious code within the service, enabling the unauthorized execution of commands at elevated privileges. By leveraging this flaw, attackers can restart the GalaxyClientService.exe as an unprivileged user and gain SYSTEM-level rights on the machine.
