What is CVE-2020-11939?

In nDPI versions up to 3.2 Stable, a vulnerability exists within the SSH protocol dissector that can lead to integer overflows during the KEXINIT phase. This flaw potentially allows an attacker to cause a controlled remote heap overflow by manipulating the content and layout of the nDPI library's heap memory through remote input. If exploited, this could enable attackers to execute arbitrary code on any device using nDPI for network traffic inspection. It is critical for users of nDPI to apply necessary patches and updates to mitigate this risk.
