What is CVE-2020-12117?
The Moxa Service running on NPort 5150A devices, particularly in firmware versions 1.5 and earlier, is susceptible to unauthenticated access via specially crafted packets sent to UDP port 4800. This vulnerability can permit attackers to extract sensitive configuration values without the need for authentication. The Moxa Service operates by default upon initial installation but can be disabled by users to mitigate the associated risk.
