What is CVE-2020-12441?

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the protocol parser of the ā€˜HEATRemoteService’ agent within Ivanti Service Manager HEAT Remote Control 7.4. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted network packets, leading to a Denial-of-Service condition. This can disrupt the service functionality, rendering it inoperable and causing potential downtime for affected systems.
