What is CVE-2020-12441?
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the protocol parser of the āHEATRemoteServiceā agent within Ivanti Service Manager HEAT Remote Control 7.4. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted network packets, leading to a Denial-of-Service condition. This can disrupt the service functionality, rendering it inoperable and causing potential downtime for affected systems.
