What is CVE-2020-12672?

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the ReadMNGImage function in the PNG coder of GraphicsMagick versions prior to 1.3.35. This flaw can be exploited through specially crafted MNG images, potentially leading to data corruption, denial of service, or unintended execution of arbitrary code. Users and administrators are advised to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate possible risks.
