What is CVE-2020-13553?

An exploitable local privilege elevation vulnerability exists in the file system permissions of Advantech WebAccess/SCADA 9.0.1. This vulnerability allows an attacker to manipulate the webvrpcs Run Key in the installation directory, enabling the replacement of binaries or loaded modules. This manipulation can grant the attacker NT SYSTEM privileges, allowing execution of arbitrary code which may lead to unauthorized access and control over the system.
