CVE-2020-14929
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2020-14929?
Alpine email client, versions prior to 2.23, has a vulnerability that allows the software to silently continue using an insecure connection after a /tls command is issued in certain PREAUTH scenarios. This behavior is less secure compared to terminating the connection and letting the user make an informed decision on how to proceed, thereby potentially exposing sensitive information.
