What is CVE-2020-15692?

In Nim version 1.2.4, a vulnerability exists within the standard library's browsers module where the 'openDefaultBrowser' function mismanages the URL argument. An attacker could exploit this flaw by providing a specially crafted argument that may include a local file path. This could lead to the execution of arbitrary system commands due to the way the library interacts with the underlying open command. This vulnerability poses a significant risk by potentially allowing unauthorized command execution on the host system.
