What is CVE-2020-15712?

The vulnerability in rConfig version 3.9.5 allows remote authenticated attackers to exploit directory traversal. By crafting a request to the ajaxGetFileByPath.php script that includes hexadecimal encoded 'dot dot' sequences (%2f..%2f) in the path parameter, an attacker can access unauthorized files within the system. This can lead to potential exposure of sensitive information and strengthen the need for robust security measures.
