What is CVE-2020-16150?

A timing side channel vulnerability present in the decryption function of Mbed TLS allows attackers to exploit CBC mode encryption. By measuring the time it takes to process the decryption of buffers, an attacker can infer padding lengths and potentially recover secret key information. This vulnerability poses significant risks by compromising the confidentiality of sensitive data handled by applications using affected versions of Mbed TLS.
