What is CVE-2020-16287?

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the lprn_is_black() function within the contributed lips4/gdevlprn.c file of GhostScript v9.50 by Artifex Software. This security flaw can be exploited by remote attackers to execute a denial of service attack through specially crafted PDF files. The vulnerability was addressed in version 9.51, ensuring better safety against such attacks.
