What is CVE-2020-16304?

A buffer overflow vulnerability was identified in the image_render_color_thresh() function within the base/gxicolor.c file of Artifex Software GhostScript version 9.50. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker who crafts a malicious EPS file, potentially leading to privilege escalation on the affected system. The issue has been resolved in version 9.51.
