What is CVE-2020-16306?

A null pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the devices/gdevtsep.c file of GhostScript v9.50, allowing a remote attacker to exploit this weakness by delivering a specially crafted PostScript file. Successful exploitation can lead to a denial of service, rendering the affected system unresponsive. This issue has been addressed in GhostScript version 9.51, where the relevant patches have been implemented to enhance security.
