What is CVE-2020-17538?

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the GetNumSameData() function of Ghostscript v9.50, which can be exploited by an attacker through specially crafted PDF files. This vulnerability may lead to denial of service, affecting the availability of the Ghostscript service. The issue has been rectified in Ghostscript v9.51.
