What is CVE-2020-1905?
In WhatsApp for Android, prior to version 2.20.185, there was a security concern related to the sequential generation of Media ContentProvider URIs used for opening attachments in external applications. This flaw allowed malicious third-party applications to guess the URIs of previously opened attachments, posing a risk of unauthorized access to sensitive files until the application process was terminated. Users are encouraged to update to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
