Command Injection Vulnerability in rConfig by Rconfig
CVE-2020-23151
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2020-23151?
The rConfig version 3.9.5 contains a command injection vulnerability that arises from inadequate input sanitization. By exploiting this flaw, an attacker can send a specially crafted GET request to the 'ajaxArchiveFiles.php' script. This script improperly handles the 'path' parameter, passing it directly to the exec function without escaping, which can lead to unauthorized execution of arbitrary commands on the server. Such vulnerabilities can expose sensitive system information and allow further attacks against the affected instance.
