What is CVE-2020-24670?
The Dashboard Editor in Hitachi Vantara Pentaho versions 7.x through 8.x contains a reflected Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability that can be exploited by authenticated remote users. By manipulating the 'type' attribute of the 'dashboardXml' parameter, an attacker can inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript code within the context of a user's session. This vulnerability poses significant security risks, as it may lead to unauthorized actions on behalf of the user. The vulnerability has been addressed in versions 7.1.0.25, 8.2.0.6, and 8.3.0.0 GA.
