Stack Buffer Overflow in Realtek RTL8195A Wi-Fi Module
CVE-2020-25855
What is CVE-2020-25855?
The Realtek RTL8195A Wi-Fi Module prior to the April 2020 releases is vulnerable to a stack buffer overflow due to a lack of validation in the AES_UnWRAP() function's size parameter during a memcpy() operation. This vulnerability can lead to remote code execution or denial of service. Attackers can exploit this flaw by impersonating a legitimate Access Point and injecting malicious packets during the WPA2 handshake, requiring knowledge of the network's PSK to successfully exploit the vulnerability.
