What is CVE-2020-26061?
The Password Reset Portal of ClickStudios' Passwordstate prior to build 8501 suffers from an authentication bypass vulnerability. This issue arises because the ResetPassword function fails to adequately validate user authentication when users respond to security questions. As a result, an unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a crafted HTTP request to the /account/ResetPassword endpoint, enabling them to reset the password for any registered user without proper authentication.
