What is CVE-2020-26122?

The Inspur NF5266M5 servers and other M5 devices are susceptible to a remote code execution flaw due to inadequate checks on firmware within the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC). An attacker with administrative access can inject malicious code into the BMC's firmware, exploiting the lack of a proper signature verification mechanism. This security gap allows for unauthorized control over the BMC, posing significant risks to server integrity and data security.
