The vulnerability in AWS Firecracker allows the serial console buffer to grow its memory usage indefinitely when data is input. This unbounded memory allocation can lead to excessive memory consumption on the microVM emulation thread, potentially impacting system performance and stability by consuming more resources than intended on the host environment.
