What is CVE-2020-27871?

A vulnerability in the SolarWinds Orion Platform (version 2020.2.1) allows remote attackers to create arbitrary files due to insufficient path validation in VulnerabilitySettings.aspx. Although the vulnerability requires authentication, the existing mechanism can be circumvented, enabling attackers to execute code with SYSTEM privileges.
