What is CVE-2020-27978?
The Shibboleth Identity Provider versions prior to 3.4.6 are susceptible to a denial of service flaw that enables an unauthenticated remote attacker to exploit the login flow. This exploit results in Java heap exhaustion, which occurs due to excessive object creation in the Java Servlet container session. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it can lead to service disruption, affecting the availability of the authentication service.
