Improper Neutralization of Line Delimiters in Exim Email Server by Exim
CVE-2020-28026
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2020-28026?
Exim Email Server versions prior to 4.94.2 exhibit improper handling of line delimiters, which can become critical under non-default configurations that enable Delivery Status Notification (DSN) features. Exploiting this vulnerability allows unauthorized remote attackers to inject newline characters into spool header files. This manipulation can facilitate the execution of arbitrary commands with root privileges, posing a significant security risk to affected systems.
