What is CVE-2020-35131?

An issue exists in Cockpit prior to version 0.6.1, where an attacker can exploit a vulnerability to inject arbitrary PHP code through the registerCriteriaFunction method in lib/MongoLite/Database.php. This exploitation can occur via manipulated JSON data sent to critical endpoints such as /auth/check or /auth/requestreset, leading to unauthorized remote command execution.
