Archive_Tar, through version 1.4.11, is susceptible to a Directory Traversal vulnerability that allows unauthorized write operations. This issue arises from insufficient validation of symbolic links, enabling attackers to potentially manipulate filesystem paths and overwrite critical files. This vulnerability is similar to the related issue identified in CVE-2020-28948.
