What is CVE-2020-36888?
The SpinetiX Fusion Digital Signage version 3.4.8 is vulnerable to a username enumeration issue in its login script. This flaw enables attackers to determine the validity of user accounts by sending crafted login requests with various usernames. By analyzing the different server error responses, an attacker can differentiate between existing and non-existing accounts. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it can be exploited to facilitate further attacks against the system, such as password guessing or brute force attacks.
