What is CVE-2020-36902?

The UBICOD Medivision Digital Signage 1.5.1 software is compromised by an authorization bypass issue. This vulnerability enables unauthorized users to escalate their privileges to super admin by manipulating the 'ft[grp]' parameter. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a crafted GET request to the /html/user endpoint with 'ft[grp]' assigned to the integer value of '3', thereby gaining elevated privileges without requiring any form of authentication. This breach poses significant risks, particularly in environments where digital signage systems are critical for managing content.
