What is CVE-2020-36956?

Openfire version 4.6.0 is susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability within the nodejs plugin. This issue arises when the application improperly handles user input in the 'path' parameter, enabling attackers to inject malicious JavaScript code. If successful, the injected scripts will execute in the context of an administrative user who views the nodejs configuration page, potentially leading to harmful impact on the application's integrity and user data.
