What is CVE-2020-36976?

The Acer Global Registration Service version 1.0.0.3 features an unquoted service path vulnerability that can be exploited by local users. This vulnerability enables attackers to execute arbitrary code by injecting malicious executables into the unquoted service path located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Acer\Registration. The malicious code runs with elevated LocalSystem privileges during the service startup, posing a significant risk to system integrity.
