What is CVE-2020-36981?

Motorola Device Manager version 2.4.5 is susceptible to an unquoted service path vulnerability within its PST Service component. This flaw enables local users to potentially execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges during the startup of the service. The specific vulnerability arises from the unquoted path in ForwardDaemon.exe, which attackers can exploit to inject malicious payloads. When exploited, this could open up the system to unauthorized access and further compromise the integrity of the device.
