What is CVE-2020-36987?

The Program Access Controller version 1.2.0.0 is affected by an unquoted service path vulnerability in the PACService.exe file. This flaw allows local attackers to exploit the unquoted service path during system startup or reboot, potentially enabling them to execute arbitrary code with elevated LocalSystem privileges. An attacker can create a malicious executable in a directory that is searched before the legitimate service executable, thereby gaining control over the affected system.
