What is CVE-2020-36989?

The ForensiT AppX Management Service version 2.2.0.4 has a vulnerability due to an unquoted service path that can be exploited by local users. This allows potential execution of arbitrary code with elevated system privileges. The flaw can be leveraged during the service startup process, enabling attackers to inject malicious code that runs under LocalSystem account permissions. It is critical for system administrators to address this vulnerability to prevent unauthorized access and maintain system integrity.
